Green Cliff Homestay provides specialized tour packages focusing on sustainable tourism and the conservation of the local environment of Velas and the nearby village.

Velas is very well-known for its annual turtle festival. Happening from March to April, you can be part of the Velas Turtle Festival to celebrate and raise awareness about the conservation of Olive Ridley sea turtles, which come to the Velas beach to lay their eggs. During this festival, you can witness the hatching and release of baby turtles into the sea. And we offer a variety of activities to enjoy, including boat rides to see the turtles, guided nature walks through the surrounding countryside, and visits to local temples and other cultural attractions.

On the other hand, other popular activities you can enjoy include birdwatching, as the area is home to a diverse range of bird species, and visits to the nearby beaches, where you can relax and enjoy the region’s natural beauty.

You can also explore the historical ruins of Bankot Fort, and learn about its history and cultural significance in the region’s military and political history. Bankot Fort is situated on the Arabian Sea coast, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Other ecotourism activities include boat rides to see these turtles, India’s protected species. There may also be opportunities to participate in the area’s conservation and environmental protection efforts, such as beach cleanups or reforestation projects.
